Jim - we truly are sorry for this oversight. It was never our intention and there really isn't a good excuse.

We had very few date options with regards to obtaining permits from the National Park Service. We did research other races occurring during this time period and the date we found for the Promise Land was April 25 - unfortunately it had not been updated for 2010 yet and we did not catch that. April 25 was the 2009 date.

When we realized this we looked into switching it but there was no viable option with regards to the permitting. It took us 8 months to get approval.

We will not make this mistake in the future.

Really disappointed that you would run a race that competes with an established race (Promised Land)

Bad form.
